The Lord Is My Shepherd

Oct 4, 2026  •  Pastor Larry Morgan

What does it really mean to say, “The Lord is my shepherd”? In this week’s message, Pastor Larry takes us on a deep dive into Psalm 23 as we continue our Powerful and Effective Prayers series, uncovering what changes when we stop seeing God simply as a good God and begin to know Him as our God—our Shepherd. Through the familiar words of this Psalm, we’re reminded that God provides what we need, gives us nourishment and rest, restores what has been broken, leads us through the valleys, and gives us peace even when the circumstances around us haven’t changed. The presence of an enemy doesn’t mean the absence of God; sometimes faith looks like sitting at the table He has prepared for us right in the middle of the battle. If you’ve been walking through a difficult season, feeling uncertain about what’s ahead, or simply need to be reminded of how good and faithful God is, this message will encourage you to lift your head, trust your Shepherd, and remember that His goodness and mercy are with you every step of the way.
